Steamboat with Moscow friends

Friday, July 11, 2008

last night, went to eat steamboat at Good Times Restaurant with some Moscow friends. at first, there were lots of people going but in the end, they all 'ffk' and left only 3 people: me, Jien Wey n Eng Yaw. kinda disappointed, i was looking forward to seeing the others too. hehe. but anyway, had a good time chatting. enjoyed the food.

our steamboat pot.

actually, got more photos, but all in Eng Yaw's camera. haha.
anyway, i think now it's more worth it to eat steamboat at this Good Times Restaurant compared to MovenPeak Steamboat coz MovenPeak steamboat have change their style to more like the Sushi King style of serving. so u don't get to take unlimited at MovenPeak Steamboat anymore. for your info, Good Times Restaurant is near Crazy Ice-Cream, for those of you from Ipoh. hehe. so if you people wanna eat steamboat, i suggest you go this restaurant to eat. lol.
till then, take care everyone..

'Hancock'

Thursday, July 3, 2008

today, was suppose to play paint ball with friends but due to the rain, it was canceled. too bad. so instead of playing paint ball, we headed to Ipoh Parade to watch 'Hancock' at 5.45pm. nice movie. funny, very creative story. go watch it ppl. hehe.

Will Smith portrays an alcoholic superhero named "Hancock" who is despised by the public. When he saves the life of PR executive Ray Embrey (Jason Bateman), the latter helps rehabilitate Hancock. He begins to develop feelings for Ray's wife Mary (Charliza Theron).

John Hancock (Will Smith) is an unhappy and reluctant superhero who is living in his own world. For some unknown reason, Hancock is depressed and has started drinking very heavily. He has saved many lives in Los Angeles over the years, but in doing so, he has no regards for damaging buildings, trains, roads, cars, or anything that gets in his way to get the job done. The last time he captured several criminals, it cost the city $9 million to fix the damages. The public has had enough of Hancock, and they want him to stop or go to another city. Then one day, Hancock saves the life of Ray Embrey (Jason Bateman) from being run over by a train. Ray is a Public Relations executive who now can go home to his wife and child, because Hancock was there. Ray owes Hancock his life, and he makes it his mission to change this superhero's image and have the public cheering him.

Later Hancock learns that he's actually not an alien, but a member of an ancient race which have been referred to as angels and gods throughout history, it is revealed that Hancock and Ray's wife, who is revealed to also be a member of this race, are at least 3000 years old, the race eventually died out because of their weakness which causes them to lose their powers when in close proximity to one another. Members of this race were created in pairs, and are inevitably drawn towards each other. Ray's Wife is revealed to be the other half of Hancock, and that they are 'fated' to be together. Ray's Wife and Hancock have a brief fight scene and during this scene tornadoes and other weather disturbances wreak havoc on the city. It is unknown if this is intentionally her doing or a side effect of these supreme beings fighting. Hancock starts to lose his powers as he grows closer to Ray's wife, and his feelings grow, in the end, to save her life from a mortal wound, he leaves her proximity to restore both his powers and hers, healing her. The movie ends with Hancock accepting his role as a hero, and letting Ray and Mary live a normal life, while remaining their friend.

after movie, headed home for dinner. and guess what, had crabs for dinner. lovely, yummy. it's been ages since i last ate crabs. i think probably a year or more. i just love the soft crab meat. lol. thanks mum for cooking the lovely crabs =)
God Bless..

When You Look Me In The Eyes

Sunday, June 29, 2008

"When You Look Me In The Eyes"
by Jonas Brothers

If the heart is always searching,
Can you ever find a home?
I've been looking for that someone,
I'll never make it on my own
Dreams can't take the place of loving you,
There's gotta be a million reasons why it's true.

When you look me in the eyes,
And tell me that you love me.
Everything's alright,
When you're right here by my side.
When you look me in the eyes,
I catch a glimpse of heaven.
I find my paradise,
When you look me in the eyes.

How long will I be waiting,
To be with you again
Gonna tell you that I love you,
In the best way that I can.
I can't take a day without you here,
You're the light that makes my darkness disappear.

When you look me in the eyes,
And tell me that you love me.
Everything's alright,
When you're right here by my side.
When you look me in the eyes,
I catch a glimpse of heaven.
I find my paradise,
When you look me in the eyes.

More and more, I start to realize,
I can reach my tomorrow,
I can hold my head up high,
And it's all because you're by my side.

When you look me in the eyes,
And tell me that you love me.
Everything's alright,
When you're right here by my side.
When I hold you in my arms,
I know that it's forever.
I just gotta let you know,
I never wanna let you go.

When you look me in the eyes.

And tell me that you love me.
Everything's alright,
When you're right here by my side.
When you look me in the eyes,
I catch a glimpse of heaven.
I find my paradise,
When you look me in the eyes.
