Updates..

Sunday, May 4, 2008

Hey people. Sorry, I know I haven’t been updating my blog. Finals were on so didn’t really had much activity except chatting with friends n seniors n cooking meals. Lol.. well, I still got my physics paper on 5th May. but I just got that lazy feeling to study. Hmm.. anybody can help me cure it? Haha.. oh ya. Recently, I bought a cauliflower. Haha. I know this is gonna sound really lame talking about veggie but it’s been ages since I had veggie, I’ve been eating fruits to replace veggie. The veggie went up in price since it started winter. But now the price is slowly going down since spring’s here. Hehe. The cauliflower cost me 65.90 rubles (approx. RM9.41) per kilogram. But it was nice. So i added the cauliflower into my pork noodle soup. NICE!! I enjoyed it so much especially the cauliflower. Haha. Desperation for veggie. Lol. Check out my pretty cauliflower. And my noodles.. haha.

my cauliflower..

and my pork noodles soup with cauliflower.. yummy :)

well, after Maths paper yesterday, a group of us went China Town. Went to eat Chinese food for lunch. The food at the restaurant came in really big portion that even the guys who can eat a lot couldn’t finish their food. Haha. Some of us had rice with side dishes and some had the delicious fried noodles. I had the fried noodles which cost 120 rubles (approx. RM17.14) per plate. Expensive le.. but of course, I didn’t eat one plate on my own, I shared with my two roommates. Hehe. After lunch, with super full stomachs, we went looking for souvenirs. Well, that will be the place we will get our souvenirs coz it’s the place that is famous for them and also the price there is more reasonable. Well, just manage to take a few shots.

some of the russian souvenirs..

chess set using russian dolls..

nice..

Anyways, China Town’s a place something like Petaling Street where u can get loads n loads of the cheap cheap stuff, antics, food, clothes, souvenirs, etc.. it’s just like Petaling Street but it’s way way way bigger than Petaling Jaya. It’s super super huge!! U seriously can get lost walking around inside. Haha. Well, that’s all for now. I’ll be back in Malaysia in another 4 weeks n I’m really looking forward to it. I’ll see u all soon. Miss ya all loads. Take care everyone.

China Town

Went to China Town today (18 March) after biology exam. This is our first time going to China Town coz we always never got round to going. Was let out real early from class coz we could go after taking the test. It was a surprise test coz we practically didn’t know about it. Luckily, I didn’t really screw up the test. Still manage to do ok. Hehe. So, me, Kent n Valynne went after class. The China Town is just one station from the station where we go for our classes. But too bad, today was kinda the wrong day to go. Apparently, normally on Wednesdays all the stalls will be open. So the place was kinda like a ghost town further inside. But on the outside, there were lotsa stalls selling coats n clothes. Hehe. I just manage to take a few random photos. Here they are.

the entrance. i'm standing on the bridge taking this photo.

the buildings

hehe. can u spot our heads?
i'm the one on the left n lynn's on the right.

i look forward to our next trip. gonna buy russian souvenirs from there. hehe. take care everyone.

Chinese New Year!!

Thursday, February 21, 2008

okies. finally, found the time to upload on my chinese new year celebration here in Moscow. wasn't reli considered reli very big thing but i'm satisfied with it. we actually had maths exam on the 3rd day of chinese new year n physics exam on the 5th day of chinese new year so practically had to study also. but anyways, it was great. on chinese new year eve we went to Ashan to get stuff to cook for chinese new year dinner - fish, sotong n pomelo. went with Aaron n then went for eve dinner at Ikea cafeteria. had the Ikea meat balls n french fries, it's a set meal. nice. but turn out too much, we were all too too full. couldn't even walk. haha.

Ikea meat balls n french fries..

okay. now for our planned chinese new year dinner on the 1st day of CNY. menu was rice, sambal sotong, steam fish, chicken ABC soup n pomelo. though it may look plain to u guys but here we consider it a special meal because all this stuff is real expensive here so we can't afford to eat them so often. hehe. special thanks to Lynn the talented cook.

sambal sotong

steam fish. very nice.

our pomelo

this pomelo is super expensive compared to malaysia n of course it is not as sweet n juicy as the ones we can get in malaysia. haha. this pomelo, weights 1.12 kg n cost about RM10.

chicken ABC soup. yummy.

ok. the soup's taste is specially from a soup packing, specially sent all the way from malaysia by mum n dad. thanks mum n dad. we added in carrots n potatoes. plus other soup ingredients like red dates n kurma all the way from malaysia.

next, our pomelo n mandarin surprise. haha. after we finish our pomelo, we kept the skin. pealed 10 small mandarin oranges n placed them in it. then went around different rooms wishing ppl Happy CNY n fooling them with our so called 'pomelo' which turn out to be mandarin oranges inside instead. haha. had a real good time.

finally, to end our celebration, played cards till morning. we made fake money to play. haha.
thats my first CNY away from home. Happy Chinese New Year!! Gong Xi Fa Chai!!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY !!

Friday, February 15, 2008

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preserves.

- 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (NIV) -

Dear FAMILY & FRIENDS..

Happy Valentines Day!! would like to specially dedicate this day to all of you. thank you so
much for everything. Love you all so so much.

Came through some friendship quotes..

Many people will walk in
and out of your life,
but only true friends will leave
footprints in your heart.
- Eleanor Roosevelt –

A friend is someone who walks in
when the whole world has walked out.

- Author Unknown –

A friend is one who knows us, but loves us anyway.

- Fr. Jerome Cummings -

Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow.
Don't walk behind me, I may not lead.
Just walk beside me and be my friend.
- Albert Camus -

A friend loves at all times.
- Proverbs 17:17 -

An honest answer is the sign of true friendship.
- Proverbs 24:26 -

A true friend is someone who is there for you when he'd rather be anywhere else.
- Len Wein -
