Среда, двадцать первое ноября

Thursday, November 22, 2007

Pushkin International Concert & Exhibition, 16th November 2007

Wednesday, November 21, 2007

For your information, I am currently studying Russian Language at Pushkin Institute of Russian Language.. here, there are plenty of other international students, for example, Korea, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Brazil, etc, n of course we Malaysians.. so, there was a concert and exhibition held basically to display each other’s country’s culture.. the exhibition started first followed by the concert.. started at 3pm n ended at almost 6pm.. we Malaysian pre-medical students prepared stuff for both the exhibition n concert.. for the exhibition we had a video presentation n a slide show of pictures.. the video presentation was actually the tourism Malaysia video.. haha.. smart le.. then the slide show, Valynne, me n Joanna did it with pictures from Tee, Terry, Joanna, me n Valynne.. we had really limited pictures coz we never expected to do such things but it turned out ok.. hehe.. we also had Malaysian food on display n also to try, well, other countries also did the same.. we had some cucur with sauce prepared by Liyana.. and also a poster was made.. so, here’s our exhibition table..

the laptops..

the cucur made by Liyana.. nice :)

the sauce.. super nice..
one of the ingredients is Kimball chilli sauce from Malaysia

the poster.. hand drawn n coloured..

Here are photos of the exhibition, other countries..

KOREA

CHINA

The China people were really very well equipped.. they had lotsa stuff on display.. very obvious they had planned it was before n brought them all the way from their homeland.. even their dance, the dances had similar costumes..

RUSSIA

VIETNAM

ROMANIA

..and many more..

Well, you can see the difference between what we prepared n what the other countries prepared.. they were so well equipped.. I guess they knew before hand n brought it before hand from their countries.. we knew nothing n therefore came unprepared.. haha.. but, we still manage.. haha..

Now we come to the concert..

4th November 2007

it’s been a month plus since I’ve been in Moscow.. classes have started for 2 weeks plus ady.. we’re now currently attending Russian language classes.. well, Russian language is not an easy language.. it has lotsa rules u can ever imagine.. hehe.. well, can’t wait for my Russian to be real good.. haha.. anyway, really really sorry for not being able to update that frequently.. I haven’t got internet access.. n it’s really hard to get internet access.. we’ve got no wireless in our hostel yet.. n the cybercafé at our hostel charges 50 rubles per hour which is about RM 7.. expensive huh?? Very very superbly expensive.. so, I’m really really sorry for taking so long to update my blog.. but, hopefully we’ll get the wireless connection soon.. they’re apparently in the process of fixing it.. so hopefully, by the end of November or maybe beginning of December or maybe by the end of the year we’ll be able to get the wireless connection.. I also can’t wait.. haha.. anyway, it’s officially winter here.. so the time in Malaysia is now 5 hours faster than my time here in Moscow.. it has been snowing off n on here.. but the ground hasn’t been covered with snow yet.. temperature here is gradually dropping.. well, will keep ya all updated.. take care everyone..

For your information, I have shifted to Pushkin hostel, the hostel we were supposed to be.. did spring cleaning.. wiped all the furniture in the room till it was free of dust.. swept n moped the room again n again till it was clean.. then did some unpacking.. and finally went to sleep at around almost 4am.. whoa.. we were so tired.. well, Pushkin hostel is better than RSMU hostel.. the toilet’s better.. the rooms are better too.. but somehow, we feel homesick.. we miss our place in RSMU hostel.. I guess it was because we are kinda separated here in Pushkin although I’m still sharing the same room with Valynne.. I just miss sharing the same unit with Jacinta, Xinru n Farah.. Valynne feels the same way too.. we were like just one happy family when suddenly, we had to move n somemore we’re all moving at different times so we’re like kinda separated.. this was the first time I ever felt so miserable since I came to Moscow.. back in RSMU, all of us including the guys, we were all like one big happy family.. we mix around very well n we just get along well.. we cook together, chat n everything, go places together, share crap stories together.. though I was just about 2 weeks plus, we were happy.. I miss those times.. can’t wait for everyone to move to Pushkin n have those fun times again..

To everyone back in Malaysia, I miss you all.. I miss you all so so much.. and I’m really looking forward to seeing you all during summer holidays.. thank you so much for all your birthday wishes.. thank you so much for remembering.. here, winter is coming.. the temperature has already dropped to below 0 °C.. and it has already been snowing a little.. wind’s been blowing n it has been raining also.. soon, the temperature will drop.. and the paths n roofs will be covered with snow.. winter, here I come..
